You can determine whether your touch screen is Capacitive Touch Screen monitor or resistive touch screen by following methods.

1,Touch method.

Capacitive touch screen:Touching with skin position like finger is more sensitive.Because it work though human body’s current sensing, skin position like finger form capacitive with screen.

Resistive touch screen:It can operated by finger,touch pen and other sharp object.And it also need certain pressure.It work though pressure sensing.When object applies pressure to the screen,two conductive layers will touch to realize touch operation.

2,Multi touch.

Capacitive touch display:It support multi touch.You can use two and multi fingers operate at same time on the screen.Such as zoom in ,zoom out and other operation.

Resistive touch screen: It doesn’t support multi touch,only support recognize signal touch.

3,Screen hardness.

Capacitive touch screen panel:It is made of glass. And hardness is higher.

Resistive touch screen: In generally,it is made of plastic, which is soft.

4,Service environment.

Capacitive touch screen:Touch operation may be affected in humid conditions or with gloves on.Because water and glove can reduce capacitive sensing between human body and screen.
