What is difference between film and foil?

1. Material

The film is usually made of plastic ,metal oxide and so on,which is flexibility and stretchability.

The touch screen foil film is made of conductive material and a flexible substrate such as PET.Conductive materials are indium tin oxide, metal mesh and so on.

2. Function

The film can play role of protection, optical adjustment, packaging moisture-proof and oxidation prevention.

The touch foil mainly achieve touch sense function,which converts capacitive or resistance change caused by the touch into an electrical signal to operate the device.

3. Application area

The film is widely used in electronic,packaging,agriculture and so on.Such as display polarized film, food and drug packaging, greenhouse cover material and so on.

The touch foil film is widely used in touch screen device,such as smart phone,tablet computers and so on.

4. Working principle

According to different function,its working principle is different.Such as the physical barrier of the protective film, and the optical film changes the light characteristics through reflection and refraction.
