Here are some of the materials that apply to Capacitive Touch Screen monitors:

1.Human and animal conductors

  • Human skin:The human body itself is a good conductor with a certain charge. When the finger touches the capacitive touch display, a coupling capacitor is formed between the finger and the capacitive sensor on the surface of the touch screen, and this change in capacitance can be detected by the control circuit of the touch screen, so as to realize touch positioning and operation.
  • Animal Hair & Skin:Some specially designed capacitive touch screen overlay devices can also be touched through animal hair or skin. However, animal hair is often less conductive and requires a device with high sensitivity.

2.A stylus made of conductive material

  • Metal Stylus:Metals have good electrical conductivity, and stylus made of materials such as copper and aluminum can be used on capacitive touch screens. When the metal stylus touches the screen, it is able to conduct an electrical charge, causing a change in the capacitance of the touch screen, which is recognized by the screen just like a finger touch.
  • Conductive rubber stylus:It is usually made of conductive fibers, such as carbon fiber, on the nib or nib part of the pen. These fibers conduct an electrical charge that allows the stylus to generate a touch signal on a capacitive touchscreen, while the body can be made of other materials to provide a comfortable grip.

3.Special capacitive screen gloves

  • Conductive Fiber Gloves:This type of glove incorporates conductive fibers such as silver fibers into the fabric. Silver fibers have good electrical conductivity, which allows the glove to conduct an electrical charge when it touches the capacitive screen, allowing the touch screen to detect the touch signal. 4.Other materials

  • ITO Glass & Film:Indium tin oxide (ITO) is a transparent conductive material with good conductivity and transparency. ITO glass and ITO film are widely used in the manufacture of capacitive touch screens as conductive layers for touch panels.
  • Metal Mesh:Metal mesh is a mesh structure made of woven metal wires, which has good electrical conductivity and flexibility. Metal mesh can be used as a conductive layer for capacitive touch screens, replacing traditional ITO materials.
  • Conductive Polymers & Inks:Some conductive polymers and inks can also be used in the manufacture of capacitive touch screens. These materials have good electrical conductivity and machinability, and can be used to form conductive patterns on touch panels through printing, coating, and other processes.
